Kalle Saar (pictured) and Moustafa Boukri just succumbed to Abdelouahab Zizi in what could prove a pivotal pot.
The action opened with a raise to 26,000 from Boukri, called by Zizi on the button and Saar in the big blind.
The Qh 8c 5c flop saw Saar check, Boukri bet 45,000 and all Zizi and then Saar both move all-in! Boukri called and the cards were on their backs:
Saar: Ac Tc – nut flush draw
Boukri: Kd Ks for an overpair
Zizi: 5h 5s for a set.
Three big hands but Zizi’s was the king and it remained so as the board bricked out the 9h 3d. Zizi punched the air and bellowed with joy as his opponents chips were moved over to him. Boukri and Saar meanwhile looked a tad shell-shocked as they came to terms with the fact that their tournament was over just short of the final table.
Well played both, but Zizi is now a force to be reckoned with – 800,000 to his name…
