No one is storming away with the chip lead as far as we can tell at the moment, however there are a few players building some impressive towers with the final level rapidly approaching.
Poker is a zero-sum game however so whilst some players are on the up, there are plenty on the way down as well. Those in the black include Plamen Plashov, who has 120,000 and is motoring up the counts. Great stuff. Ivaylo Peevski is also in prime position with 95,000 – ready to break through that six figure mark and start to assert himself on proceedings.
Magdalena Tsaneva is proving a difficult lady for her tablemates to dislodge also. She has moved in several times recently – keeping herself around the 40,000 mark and ready to vault up the counts should an opportunity to double-up present itself.
Ants Olev is at the other end of the chip spectrum – resting precariously on the cusp of elimination with 6,000 – he threw his chips in with 7s 5s and managed to spike a seven to double up versus A-J – but with 16,000, he is still in need of a slice of luck if he is to proceed much further.
James Simms has also dropped down to around 20,000 and will be forced into a showdown sooner rather than later if he has designs on a deep run in the Main Event.
