The field is full of a mix of seasoned pros and young, hungry poker stars.
Two of the players who have been fixtures of the UK and world poker scene for a number of years are Surinder Sunar and Roy “The Boy” Brindley.
Both have established reputations as fiercesome No Limit Hold’em exponents.
Sunar has accumulated over $4.5 million in tournament poker results over the years, his biggest success coming at the 2004 WPT Paris, which he won for $828,956. During this tournament, he had an infamous tangle with Tony G, Sunar on the receiving end of one of Tony G’s vicious invectives.
You can watch how this exchange played out below. Surinder would get the last laugh however, defeating Tony G heads-up to take the trophy and glory.
Roy The Boy is no slouch himself, having racked up nearly a million dollars in tournament poker results himself over the years.
Well-known on the poker and betting scene as a shrewd player, pundit and commentator, you can expect Roy to be a threat for the title if the poker gods give him a little assistance.
