Erik Ostergaard has been a wrecking machine at times on this final. Unpredictable, prone to crazy moves but overall his strategy has been very effective at guiding him this deep. Eventually he made one shove too many, jamming T-J into Stropoli – who made a range call with J-Q and it held to eliminate the Dane in 3rd place for €139,500.
Great performance by Ostergaard – he has earned his deep run – but now we are left with J Stropoli battling M Canevet for the title. The two Frenchmen will ensure we have a Gallic champion but it’s Stropoli who has a decent edge in chips. Can Canevet turn it around?
