Chip leader Johannes Park’s megastack has expanded even further following a somewhat cagily played three-way pot.
Andy Hills opened to 25k and Park just called behind, as did Jussi Mattila on the button. Hills bet out 35k on the 4c 9d 6h flop and both his opponents called; all three just checked down the 9s turn and Jd river, though, at which point Hills showed pocket tens which weren’t enough to beat Park’s pocket aces. “Yeah, I was afraid of that,” said Mattila and just mucked.
Park is up to 1.25 million after that, while Hills is down to 360k. Mattila’s esoteric stacking style makes his chips kind of hard to count, but we reckon he’s got something in the region of 600k.
