Dan Stacey has left – shell-shocked after a pretty grim bad beat. Holding pocket deuces, he peeled a 125,000 raise from Lazar, who held pocket jacks.
The board of was beautiful – a set for Stacey and even better Lazar fired out a massive 750,000 overbet. All-in from Stacey, snap from Lazar with his overpair and it looked like the Brit was about to double-up.
Then the poker gods intervened. The board ran out Q-K to give the Russian a straight. He began dancing but poor Stacey looked bemused and understandably disappointed.
He finishes in 7th place for 162,500 Kč / €6,500.00. It was a great run and I’m sure we’ll see the Stoke player again soon. The final moved on though and the very next hand saw another elimination. Incredible stuff.
Vrana down to 445,000 saw and this looked like a dream hand. He jammed all-in but Clark behind had and was in no mood to lay this down, isolating for his 1.1 million stack.
Clark started the final with some terrible luck but since then he has been golden and once again he was the showdown king as the board ran out nine high to send Vrana to the rail in 6th place for 210,000 Kč/ €8,400.00. Clark rises to 1.7 million.
