Welcome to the Hilton Hotel here in the historic city of Tallinn, Estonia for the latest leg of the MPN Poker Tour. The tour has travelled to this beautiful hotspot before – last year we witnessed Estonian national Ranno Sootla crush his rivals to collect the title and the €31,000 first place cash.
We suspect Sootla will return to defend his title this year, along with a new batch of faces, both fresh and familiar who will have their own plans and designs for mounting a tournament-winning challenge.
The prize is handsome – the tournament having a €150,000 guarantee – and the players get a healthy 25,000 chips to work their magic with.
Tallinn is a worthy destination with a rich history stretching back millennia, and it is a history the locals love to celebrate. A night out in Tallinn’s old town can provide numerous locations where you can be plied with delicious local beers by staff clothed in medieval finery, pirates luring you into local bars, and you might even witness a mock swordfight recreation as you navigate your way through the narrow, cobbled streets and castle walls.
Lots to do in Tallinn then should any of the players find themselves on the sidelines and with an evening to kill, but for now the poker will be taking priority and their focus will be on proving their worth at the felt.
We’re moments away from the start of proceedings. Good luck one and all. MPNPT Tallinn is in effect!
