There is a chance of a few more entrants before play begins but soon after the start we’ll be able to furnish you with news of the payouts and the first prize these combatants will be dueling over.

There’s some real pedigree in the field with seasoned pros such as Jeff Kimber, David Lappin and plenty of other local and far-flung talent peppering the field

If the last two days are any indication, we should see a frenzied start to the day as the shorter stacks look to create a platform from where they can launch a challenge for the title. Bustouts will be the dish of the day with a large side of double-ups.

We’re expecting fireworks so watch closely and enjoy the drama. Good luck everyone!

Incidentally for anyone who isn’t in the main but wants a fix of poker, the £150 MPNPT UK Poker Cup will be starting at 15:00 and there is a corresponding Omaha version – the Omaha Cup (also £150 buyin) taking place at 19:00.
