Keep Calm & Carr-y On

Day 1a chip leader Alan Carr has taken a bit of a hit after raising in early position and getting by both Vaibhav Thakrar in the cutoff and overall chip leader Jonathan Bowers in the big blind.

Carr bet 9k on the Qc 2d Ks flop and Thakrar called (Bowers check/folded) to see a 7c on the turn. This time Carr checked, and soon folded with a giggle to a 15k bet from Thakrar. Carr’s still doing fine, though – he’s on around 160k after that. Thakrar is also pretty comfortable, having upped his stack to 140k or so.
