Hide Seeks Chip Lead

With the blinds just about to rise to 1k/2k/200, a big flip sent Daniel Hide up the chip count ladder.  He opened pre-flop, Declan McDonnell raised, and two more raises later it was let-the-deck-decide time:

McDonnell: Ad Kc
Hide: Jh Jd

Board: Jc 5d 6h 5h 3c.  McDonnell’s stack represented a big boost for Hide, who now sits on 165,000 in the penultimate level like a dragon on a gold mountain.

Meanwhile, Andrew Cornwall’s luck ran out, as his pocket queens ran into some timely aces for Dhanesh Patel.  Joining him on the rail are Martin Sogstad, who never recovered from the three-way pot hit (see previously on blog), Eirimas Livonas, John Mooney, and Monika Zukowicz.
