Alan Hayter KO’d Moise Halioua just before the dinner break – Halioua jamming for 60,000 in early position – Hayter making the call by casually throwing in a 10k chip.
Everyone else folded, one tablemate tanking for a short while, and Halioua let out a strangled cry of disgust as he found his Q-Q well below Hayter’s pocket Aces. Hayter was more upbeat. “I was hoping you’d call!” he said to the tanker chippily.
No bad beat and Hayter was chipped up to 270,000 whilst Halioua’s day was done. “At least you’re in the money,” consoled a tablemate. “Yes i suppose,” conceded Halioua in a mournful voice.
