Gods Smile on Pakkala

Roni Pakkala got his last in with A-8; Remo Ojaste made the call and with an air of ennui predicted a split pot as he revealed A-7. The poker gods however, perhaps just to keep Ojaste on his hubristic toes, looked favourably upon Pakkala and brought down a Q-2-4-6-4 board, meaning that Pakkala’s eight played and he doubled up to 23k. Ojaste looked ever so slightly annoyed as his stack took a small knock down to 60k or thereabouts.
