So we’ve come to that time, where it’s nearing the end of the final UCOP on MPN (Insert Sad Emoji Face Here), and even though this hasn’t been the greatest UCOP for me, I’m not too bothered about that. I’ve been streaming for the whole series (and 29 out of 31 days in January!). I’ve put my heart and soul into it, creating a place where people can happily voice their thoughts on hands/plays either I have made or they have made themselves. I’ve openly discussed hands and strategies on stream and just want to keep doing this right up until the network closes. It’s been super hard work, but some recently received testimonials from viewers have given me the willpower to keep going! I kinda bricked the leaderboard hopes early on and I’m just playing for pride (plus the €€€ up for grabs).
BUT UCOP ISN’T OVER YET. There’s still the €50,000 guaranteed €110 Main Event and the €40,000 guaranteed €320 UCOP High Roller today, among others, with both events offering an array of satellites for all stakes to suit all bankrolls. Check out Betsafe for more details! It’s going to be a busy Sunday so don’t forget! I’m gunning for a title after getting 2 last year (there is a trophy for the 1st place Main Event winner also!) and a few final tables this year!
Taking some time off? Not a chance.
On Thursday I’m heading to Madrid for the FINAL MPNPT event from 6th-9th February. This is an event I’m seriously looking forward to, not even just for the poker. MPN has a knack of hosting some shit hot parties and their VIP service is just unreal. The community of staff/players is so welcoming and I cannot wait to see everyone again after Battle of Malta, where I was dressed in drag after losing a prop bet and even with that, had an amazing time. I’d like to get a trophy for sure but I also wanna spend the time with friends that I’ve met during my time at MPN from all different countries and as a lot of these people are viewers of my stream, and it’s nice for me to be able to see them and have a few drinks 🙂
MPN have a few parties lined up and VIP tickets to see Athletico Vs Granada for those who aren’t still in the main event on Day 2. MPN events are like no other, everyone’s so friendly and you’d be mad to not come. If you have tried to satellite in to Madrid and were unsuccessful, there is a freeroll tonight at 6pm GMT for you. Only players who have tried to satellite for Madrid and failed are eligible and there is 1 €1,500 package up for grabs – last chance saloon!
Some of you may have noticed my recent name change from The__BJP to ZenBobPoker (haven’t changed my Betsafe alias though because I want to hold onto that Sharkscope graph!) and be wondering what that is all about? This is a personal and a little bit of a weird one, so here goes.
I tilt sometimes, we all do. I’m a little tilt box. Is it just for the stream? Am I just passionate? I never do anything different on stream cause people are watching. I am very real, and shit does certainly happen in poker, but it’s gotten a little out of hand recently. I felt that it was making me rage quit and not enjoy streaming.
So what happened? I was streaming on Sunday last week and the unbelievable news of helicopter crash where Gianna Bryant, 13; Payton Chester, 13; Alyssa Altobelli, 14; Keri Altobelli, 46; Christina Mauser, 38; Kobe Bryant, 41; John Altobelli, 56; Sarah Chester, 45; and the pilot, Ara Zobayan, 50, all lost their lives. I wrote all the names to remind people it wasn’t just Kobe and his daughter, the other lives are just as important.
Such a tragic event, it really got me thinking. Life IS NOT that bad. I’m 6 days without tilting (including last night’s PLO heads up sickness!). To me this is me making a difference on how I feel and can entertain people. I said to my housemate “the percentile difference between people less fortunate and more fortunate than the majority of us is astronomical” and it’s really true. I’m so thankful for everything I have, and I used to think this was the case but it’s easy to get sidetracked, really. Be happy, please.
Be great to have you come chat/enjoy the stream tonight for the final day of the final ever UCOP!
