Clarke Shafted by Pekka

Patryk Bablok just opened to 35,000, called by Alex Clarke – only for Jari-Pekka Rattya to move all-in for his 196,000 stack. Bablok got a count – did some mental gymnastics – his eyes glued to the ceiling before throwing his hand away.

Clarke shrugged – and felt his  9s9h was too strong to fold and called. Unfortunately he was in bad shape as Rattya had him by the short and curlies with QhQs.

The board of Th3s2h8h4c held few demons for the Finn and just like that, he had over double his stack – up to around 500,000.

Clarke meanwhile takes a hit, dropping to 850,000.
