The payouts are getting steeper and the action is getting a little tenser.
In a recent hand, Avihai Hai Benshoham raised from the cutoff to 260,000 and got calls from Agostino Ascone from the small blind and Maxime Thien-Duc Canevet from the big blind.
Ascone donk-shoved from the small blind a little more than 800,000 in chips. A minute later, Canevet over-jammed for about 6,000,000 from the big blind.
Benshoham looked visibly frustrated about the hand and eventually folded while shaking his head.
Ascone turned over [KhQc] for top pair while Canevet turned over [Ah7h] for a flush draw and an overcard.
The odds were close to even as far as who would win the hand. Ascone’s top pair ultimately held as the [5d] came on the turn and the [2c] completed the board on the river.
Ascone fist pumped into the air expressing his joy of the double-up as his stack grew to more than 2,000,000 in chips.
