David Lappin and Ming Ju have just been eliminated courtesy of Barry Blackwood, who looked to have played his pocket aces to perfection.
We joined the trio on a 9s 7h 5s board – the action was checked to David Lappin, who bet out 4,300, called by Blackwood, before Ju announced all-in for over 30,000.
Lappin followed suit and then incredibly, so did Blackwood – a huge pot brewing as these three went to war.
Cards on their back – 9h 2h for Ju – Qc 9c for Lappin and Ac Ah for Blackwood.
Up against surprisingly few outs for such a big pot, Blackwood’s equity advantage held firm over Jh turn and 4s river and as his two ertswhile-tablemates gathered their belongings, he looked slightly shell-shocked to be arranging his newly-won 110,000 stack.
